Following Footsteps

I dedicated a lot of time last week to praying for direction in my life. I had several big decisions that needed to be made within the next month or two. As I spent time last week seeking direction, God began to reveal desires of my heart I didn't know were there. By midweek, my prayer was "God, I want to be so close to you that I don't have time to consider my choices. I want to put my foot in Your footprint right after You take a step." By the end of the week, I knew the next steps I needed to take in each situation. As I began to take those steps, God asked me, "Natalie, are you ready? I'm about to start running." My immediate response was, "huh?" He answered, "Are you following me? I'm about to pick up the pace. Don't get left behind." Looking back over the past week, I can already see places where He's sped up, places where I had to take a step before thinking about it. At times, it's difficult. Yet, I wouldn't trade it for anything. By following in God's footsteps, I'm living life to the fullest. I honestly couldn't be happier right now. He's running and I'm on His heels.
