Wow. This is my 10th day here. We've done so much and learned even more already. The training we've received has been great. We heard from the directors of the Muslim ministry and get to hear more about ministering to Muslim women today. I can't wait to put what we've learned into practice in Indonesia.
Last week, we attended and participated in a discipleship group, a few youth groups, and a few church services. On Friday, we passed out The Book of Hope (the Gospel in age-specific magazine format) to hundreds, possibly thousands, of students. Seeing the excitement on the faces of the young children was such a blessing. Later that day, we helped out an organization called His Heart Ministries. The disciples and interns there have such a love and passion for being Jesus to the needy. It's beautiful. We're going to be working alongside them the rest of this week as well. On Friday, we leave for the orphanage. I'm super excited!
God has been so real to me on this trip. 3 words have been spoken over me during our time here that confirm things I felt God speaking to me over the past school year. I know He's working not only in the people we're ministering to, but to me as well which is absolutely beautiful.
Please continue to pray for unity among the team and us to be open to God's direction even when we're tired and don't understand the culture. Also, pray for open hearts as we work with His Heart Ministries and the orphanage during the next week. Thanks so much, my friends!
